Summer Short Film Project

I've just finished a short-movie script, previously known as the "Skewed Time Project" and it will go into production immediately with shooting starting 4 weeks from now. Our goal is to be completed and ready for release by the 20th of August.
Stig is of course producing, Patrick Säffström is shooting, Thomas Narverud is recording and so on...

The movie is a Suspense-Thriller and will seriously mess with your perceptions :) We will say no more at the moment, you'll have to wait...

"and they call it Puppy Love" feature film project

We are proud to announce that our small short-film project "and they call it Puppy Love" is now in the beginning of being developed into a feature film project.

The story is based on Chris Floyd's short story "The Base", published at Counterpunch.org in 2002, and other writings and articles from Chris Floyd.
At the moment we have gotten permission to use Chris Floyd's story as the foundation and it looks like Neil mcNasty who is set to Write and Direct the film will be working closely with Chris Floyd to develop the full feature story. Check out Chris' brilliant news reporting at: chris-floyd.com and also check out his book "Empire Burlesque - High Crimes and Low Humor in the American Imperium"

Stig Tonheim the founder of Productive Confusion will be the main Producer of the project.

The story is set some years into the future, during the Af-Pak War (Afghanistan-Pakistan) and is a slightly futuristic vision of the situation that we are rushing towards at the moment: economic collapse, a war that can't be won, the hypocrisy and the crimes of a growing global empire and the collapse of moral and motivation amongst the soldiers.
If I'm forced to sum it up trough familiar movies, I would describe it as something between Apocalypse Now and Dead Man, but that could change as we go forwards in our collaboration with Chris developing the script.

So far the response has been amazing and we have a impressive crew that has joined the project. If all goes well, we will be looking at starting shooting the principals during the summer of 2010 at The Canary Islands with some 2nd unit shots in Afghanistan if the situation allows it.

At the moment Neil has started writing the script and we are trying to get the first investors onboard and putting together the staff, before we hook up with Chris to pitch our different ideas between us and further develop the script. The project aims to build on Chris Floyd's work as a journalist and writer as much as we can, and we are very honored to have his blessing for the project since we are huge fans of his work.
You will never have seen a film like this, guaranteed!

More news to follow as the project develops...
